David Garver has been on the Taos music and theater scene for 35 years. He was the leader of the well known Taos band The Boheims in the 80’s and 90’s. For the past three years was the singer/songwriter and guitarist for the popular Taos rock band Bones of Romeo. He is now the lead singer/songwriter for the band StoneDaddy. As a solo singer/songwriter, his CD, Blind Artist, was nominated for Rock CD of the Year in the 2009 New Mexico Music Awards. His song Tennessee won Americana Song of the Year. In June , 2019, he released the EP, Songs From the Ghost Tree, a folk rock record produced by Greg Thum in Taos New Mexico. . In November 2019, he released another EP, Illinois, produced by Thum as well. He was a member of Working Class Theater of Taos, and has done over fifty shows since 1983. He is also a television and screen actor. He has appeared in the t.v. shows Longmire, In Plain Sight, Wildfire, and many others. On the big screen he was seen in the critically acclaimed film Sicario, in the role of Bob Fisks. He is the founder of Sage and Fool Productions, which produces music, concerts, theater and short film and videos. He wrote, produced and starred in the critically acclaimed one man show, The Age Between Sage and Fool. His new one man show, Sage and Fool Part II toured in February ,March, and June in 2019. His company also produced the short film, The Walking Shadow of Danny O'Shea, which he wrote, produced and starred in. With his wife Aura, he is co-owner of Aurafitness, a yoga, training, and special events studio in Taos New Mexico.
